Typically cars are thought of being a part just a man’s world, but I know many women who love their cars… and their motorcycles.
I grew up around cars and over the years I've enjoyed a lot of great ones, including a '56 Buick, Thunderbird, Mercedes, Porsche, Jensen Interceptor, Audi Quattro, Saab Turbo, and i love riding ATV's and snow mobiles. I even learned how to pilot a plane. So, my affinity and appreciation for planes, trains and automobiles, and motorcycles, is only natural.
Now, it's also natural that I would consider a Pink Cadillac to paint for a Susan G. Komen fundraising event. And this triggered a part of me that said… "I always wanted to paint a razzpberry Lamborghini… why not start with a Pink Cadillac?"
My logic brought me to this. Since creatively collaborating with motorcycle artist A.D. Cook, it's great to finally paint more of what I've loved all along. It make sense to start showing our art together - cars and motorcycle art. The venues are motorcycle and car related. Our time is limited to paint and the subjects are vast… and if we paint what we love and want to bring into our lives, then bring on the classic cars, motorcycles and exotics! I feel at home.
What will I paint next? My next inspiration? Well being around classic cars and the exotics are blasting inspiration as I go from one venue to another.
I like this new me.
